
Service & Controls Division Manager
Nate Bergemann serves as the Milwaukee Division HVAC Service and Controls Manager at IKM, where he leads with a focus on operational efficiency, team development, and client satisfaction. Over the years, Nate has played a pivotal role in streamlining service workflows, implementing forecasting and billing systems, and mentoring emerging talent. His leadership has directly contributed to improved service responsiveness, stronger technician performance, and enhanced customer retention. Nate’s strategic oversight of both service and controls has helped align technical execution with business goals, delivering measurable value across projects and departments.
With over two decades of experience as a 601 steamfitter, Nate brings deep technical knowledge in HVAC systems, building automation, and controls integration. He began his career in 2003 installing control systems and HVAC equipment, transitioning into full-time controls programming by 2008. His hands-on experience spans installation, commissioning, and service, giving him a well-rounded perspective on field operations. Nate advanced to superintendent in 2019, mentoring the next generation of control installers and service technicians. He became the Controls Branch Manager in 2022 and was promoted to lead both Service and Controls for Milwaukee in 2023, officially assuming his current role in 2024. Nate is known for his ability to bridge technical execution with leadership, process improvement, and strategic planning.
Outside of work, Nate enjoys hunting, golfing and takes pride in maintaining his rental properties. He’s passionate about craftsmanship and mentoring—whether it’s guiding apprentices in the field or tackling hands-on projects at home. Nate values teamwork, integrity, and continuous learning, and brings those principles into both his professional and personal life.
